Awarded on an annual basis to the most innovative student on campus. Students must be nominated by a faculty member, mentor, adviser or the like. Students cannot nominate themselves or other students. Winners should be passionate innovators working with world-changing technology who are entrepreneurially minded role models for others. $20,000 prize.

Applicants must be of Hispanic origin and/or must significantly participate in and promote organizations and activities in the Hispanic community.  The HENAAC Scholars Program was established in the year 2000 with the goal of contributing to the Hispanic community by awarding scholarships and grants to student leaders who affect the Hispanic community in STEM.
Scholarship recipients MUST attend the conference to receive the scholarship.
Scholarship dollar amounts range from $500 to $8,500.

Symantec Research Labs Graduate Fellowship Symantec

PhD students.  Preference will be given to students with a desire to work in an industrial research lab and those working on innovative research projects in areas related to Symantec’s businesses such as security, storage, backup, virtualization, cloud computing, big data infrastructure, etc. Recipients will also be selected based on their overall potential for research excellence and their academic progress to-date as evidenced by publications. Provides up to $20,000 to cover either one year of tuition fees of the student, or to reimburse expenses incurred by the student to engage into research collaboration with Symantec (e.g. travel expenses, hardware, etc.).

Awards are available for Postdoctoral Associates (within 5 years of the doctorate) and Senior Associates (normally 5 years or more beyond the doctorate).  Associates conduct research in residence at the participating host laboratory they have chosen. Some graduate fellowships may also be available.
Stipends vary from $30k to $72k.

Candidates are selected based on their academic background and possible input to the research program as described in their proposal. Appointments are awarded for a one-year term, with possible renewal for up to the third year. Varies.
Naval Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

U.S. citizens or permanent residents, Ph.D. from a U.S. institution within seven years of the date of application. Fellows are competitively selected on the basis of their overall qualifications and technical proposals addressing specific areas defined by the host Navy laboratories. A stipend up to a maximum of $65,000. Awards are for one year, and are renewable for a second and third year, given satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
